Percorso al mare, Cogoleto - Varazze


Questo bellissimo percorso ci porta lungo la costa attraverso numerose gallerie illuminate su un tratto di ferrovia ormai asfaltato da Cogoleto a Varazze (o viceversa). La tratta pianeggiante ferroviaria era attiva fino al 1970 e misura circa 4,3 km (più ritorno) e offre splendide viste sul mare e su formazioni rocciose molto interessanti. L'escursione è possibile durante tutto l'anno, nei mesi estivi è da considerare che verso mezzogiorno le temperature sono molto elevate (consigliata la protezione da sole). Il "PowerTrail" è adatto a tutti, sia ai bambini,accompagnati da cani, alle sedia a rotelle, ai pattini o in bicicletta - vige però il divieto per i mezzi motorizzati come auto e moto, fatta eccezione per la navetta. Lungo il percorso si trovano diverse fontane con acqua potabile ed alcuni ristoranti. Come punto di partenza consiglio di parcheggiare a Cogoleto in Piazza Allende vicino alla cache GC4MKJ1. È possibile iniziare il percorso a metà giungendo al piccolo parcheggio di "Bagni Baia dei Corvi" presso la cache GC4MQVR oppure iniziando a Varazze presso GC4MQXV.

La zona appartiene al Beigua Geopark ed è noto per un interessante profilo geologico, chiamato il "nero bianco". Ivi si incontrano due diversi tipi di roccia, diversi per colore e conformazione, nella prima sezione sono di colore nero o verdastro (Metagabbro), le rocce presso la "Baia dei Corvi" poi sono bianche e hanno una conformazione diversa. Queste rocce sono state utilizzate anche per la costruzione dei portali delle gallerie, dei muri di sostegno e degli archi.

Diversi sentieri portano fino al mare, dove ci sono alcune piccole spiagge molto belle in mezzo alle scogliere.

È possibile noleggiare delle biciclette a Varazze e nei due villaggi ci sono delle stazioni ferroviarie con passaggio regolare dei treni, il tempo di percorrenza è di circa 5-7 minuti.

This beautiful path leads us along the coast through numerous lighted tunnel on an asphalted railway from Cogoleto to Varazze (or vice versa). The flat railwail was used by trains till 1970 and is approximately 4.3 km long (plus return) , offers beautiful views of the sea and interesting rock formations. The excursion is possible throughout the year, during the summer consider the intensity of sunlight (you may need sun protection). The "PowerTrail" is suitable for everybody, children, dogs, wheelchair, skates, or bicycle - only cars and motorcycles are forbidden except for shuttle bus. You will find drinking water in several places, as well as some restaurants on the way. To start the course best reach the car Parking in Piazza Allende in Cogoleto close to the cache GC4MKJ1. It is also possible to start in Varazze at GC4MQXV or in the middle of the trail at the small parking lot of "Bagni baia del corvo" at GC4MQVR.

The area belongs to the Beigua Geopark and is known for an interesting geological profile, called the "black white". There are two different types and colors of rocks, in the first section they are black or greenish (Metagabbro), then from the "Baia dei Corvi" the rocks are white and have another conformation. These rocks were also used in the construction of the tunnel portals, sustaining walls and arches.

Several trails lead down to the sea, where there are some very nice and small beaches between the cliffs.

You can rent bicycles in Varazze, and in the two villages are train stations where regular trains circulate, the journey time is approximately 5-7 minutes.

Dieser schöne Weg führt uns der Küste entlang durch zahlreiche beleuchtete Tunnel auf einem asphaltierten Eisenbahntrasse von Cogoleto nach Varazze (oder umgekehrt). Die flache Strecke auf der bis 1970 Züge verkehrten ist ca. 4,3 km lang (plus Rückweg) und bietet einen schönen Ausblick auf das Meer und interessante Felsgebilde. Der Ausflug ist während des ganzen Jahres möglich, in den Sommermonaten ist zu beachten dass es über die Mittagszeit sehr warm wird (Sonnenschutz). Der "PowerTrail" ist für alle geeignet ob Kinder, Hund, Rollstuhl, Skates, oder Fahrrad - Autos und Motorräder sind jedoch verboten ausser für Zubringer. Trinkwasser findet man an mehreren Stellen, auch einige Restaurants liegen am Weg. Den Parcours beginnt man am besten ab Cogoleto (Parkplatz Piazza Allende) beim Cache GC4MKJ1. Es ist aber auch möglich in Varazze bei GC4MQXV oder in der Mitte vom kleinen Parkplatz "Bagni baia dei corvi" bei GC4MQVR zu starten.

Die Gegend gehört zum Beigua Geopark und ist bekannt für ein interessantes geologisches Profil, das "Schwarz Weiss" genannt wird. Es sind zwei verschiedenen Arten und Farben der Felsen, im ersten Abschnitt sind sie schwarz oder grünlich (Metagabbro) ab dem "Baia dei Corvi" sind die Felsen weiss und haben auch eine andere Form. Diese Gesteine wurden auch beim Bau der Tunnelportale, Stützmauern und Bögen verwendet.

Mehrere Wege führen zum Meer hinunter, wo es zwischen den Klippen einige sehr schöne kleine Strände gibt.

In Varazze kann man Fahrräder mieten, und in beiden Dörfer gibt es einen Bahnhof wo regelmässig Züge verkehren, die Fahrzeit beträgt ca. 5-7 Minuten.
